Community Development
Participants in community projects and NGOs benefit hugely from Creative Process Workshops. This approach to art making draws on the healing and transformative power of art and encourages personal expression, self-acceptance, the acceptance of others, inner growth, understanding, release from trauma and a greater sense of well-being.
The atmosphere created is safe, non-judgmental and undisturbed by the outside world. Workshops are facilitated by Ashleigh Temple-Camp a trained process art facilitator with a wealth of experience in community work. Ashleigh has also undertaken trauma training through Lafika la Phodiso, and is a Life Coach.
Community workshops for adults and teenagers
Ashleigh is a process art facilitator. She is an ASTAR-trained facilitator, has completed a Trauma Training seminar with Lafika, has attended Lalela Heart Map Training, and a workshop on conflict resolution with Michelle LeBaron. She is currently working with teenagers and art through the NGO Enlighten Education Trust, and she works with special needs children and adults at Camphill School.
She is also responsible for training educators termly in partnership with the Western Cape Education Department and Enlighten Education Trust. Ashleigh’s previous experience includes offering art classes to children and teenagers for 2 years for the Kusasa Project in Franschhoek, and working for the forma Africa Trading assisting adults to create their own arts and crafts businesses and helping market their products throughout South Africa.
